Color: Dark Red
Height: 27"
Description: Little Red is a very nice, very compact, little dark red jennet. She has great confirmation with a very square set to her legs. She has that little baby doll head that you look for in a true micro-miniature donkey.
Info: Little Red is a special little jennet and she knows it. She very much has the "I am special, look at me," attitude. And speaking of attitude, she has to have a little attitude to hold her own with all of the big girls on the farm. When it comes feeding time she has her own bowl and she lets the rest of the donkeys know that it is hers and they had better stay away. It is quite funny to see such a little donkey chase off our regular miniature donkeys. Little Red has a great disposition and she is always the first to come see you when you walk into her pen, she loves attention.

Little Red was the high selling animal in the 2011 Rocky Mountain Select Sale.

Little Red has foaled a few times now and has no problem breeding, carrying a foal to term or foaling. She is a great mother. We are planning on breeding Little Red to our little micro jack, Heiken's Ark Haley (Harley) this spring. We did and she foaled on March 2, 2018 with a beautiful Dark brown jack. He was 18" at birth. As of today Dec. 15, 2018 he has been sold and is going to be going to France. Little Red will be rebred to Harley again.
Show Results: Jan. 2019 Little Red was exposed to Harley in September 2018. This was such a special breeding that we repeated it again. We are anxious to have her foal in September 2019.
She actually had a 17 1/4" jack foal on August 15, 2019 and we have named him Shadow for his black/very dark brown hair coat.
We like this little jack foal so much that we have repeated the breeding hoping for a jennet this time.
Litl Red had a bright Red jack in March 2021 and he is sold and will be going to North Carolina.
