As we put out grain in the evening she will start with a whine, cry, bark sound that continues on even while she is eating.
Evidently she is trying to intimidate the others to stay away until she is finished. It works on any new jennet in the pen, but it doesn't take too long before they figure out that it is all a show and she will share if they push their way in.
She also lays her ears back further than any others. "What a hoot!"
Gloria's last foal (Continental Country Girl) was from MGF Jock and she was a beautiful dark deep dark red color jennet and we liked the breading so much that she is bred back to Jock to reproduce this same look. |
